Fraport USA Launch Pad Program

A Partnership with the Greater Baltimore Urban League

THE OPPORTUNITY

Fraport Maryland is expanding its LaunchPad program by offering small retailers kiosks at the Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The program caters to the specific needs and challenges for small businesses looking to capitalize off of the traffic created by travelers visiting BWI Airport, which totaled over 25.1 Million in 2016.

In 2017, Launch Pad welcomed its first cadre of small businesses to BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport to begin their quest for expansion with products ranging from accessories, hair and beauty products to herbal teas and women’s fashions.

Several of the initial Launch Pad Entrepreneurs are entering a second year at BWI and their success has fueled the expansion of the program.  In 2018, two (2) or more businesses will be invited to participate in this unique opportunity within one of the region's most dynamic retail environments.
